Hearing that Ukraine boasts many excellent and original designers, I was on the lookout for something new – which I found in a store in an underpass near Saborna Square in Odesa. Here the felt artist holds up her extraordinary creation and I try it out. We had no common language and in a crazy moment of zealous cleaning, I threw out her card. Since the Russian full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022, I've been wanting to know how she and her son are doing and to let her know how much her work is admired in Berlin!
